Who we are

Particle Party is made and sold by Meanwhile Motion, part of Meanwhile Media, based in Australia. You can reach me at hello@meanwhilemotion.com.au.

What you're buying

Particle Party is a particle effect plug-in for Adobe After Effects, with ready-made presets, sold as a digital download. There's no subscription. During the beta it costs US$49 once (the Founder licence); after the beta it costs US$89. It currently runs on Windows. A Mac version is planned as the first update after launch, but it has no release date yet. It's in beta, which means it works now and I'm still improving it.

Your licence

When you buy Particle Party, you get a single-user licence. It lets you:

You may not:

Each purchase can be activated up to three times: your two computers, plus a spare for when you replace one. If you need more, email me.

Your licence key carries your email address and shows it in the plug-in. If a key is shared publicly or used against these terms, I may deactivate it in a later update.

If you're a studio and need licences for a team, get in touch.

Updates and the Founder licence

If you buy during the beta, you get the Founder licence:

Updates arrive through the same place you downloaded Particle Party.

If you buy after the beta (US$89), you get every update through the next major version (for example, buy during 1.x and get 1.x and 2.x free), the Mac version if and when it's released, and email support.

Payments

Purchases are handled by Gumroad. They process your payment and deliver your download, so I never see your card details. Prices are in US dollars; your bank may convert the amount.

Refunds

If Particle Party isn't for you, email me within 14 days of buying and I'll refund you, no questions asked. After that, if it doesn't work as described, email me and I'll help fix it or refund you. Nothing here limits the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer laws that apply to you.

Free downloads

The free tools on this site (such as Font Browser) are free to use in personal and commercial work. They're provided as they are, with no support promise, though I'm happy to hear about problems. Please don't resell or re-upload them; link people to this site instead.

The fine print

Apart from the rights you have under consumer law, Particle Party is provided as-is. As far as the law allows, my total liability to you is limited to the price you paid, and I'm not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, missed deadlines or lost project files. Always keep backups of your After Effects projects. Adobe and After Effects are trademarks of Adobe; Particle Party isn't made or endorsed by Adobe.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
