Who's responsible
This site and Particle Party are run by Meanwhile Motion, part of Meanwhile Media, in Australia. Questions about your information: hello@meanwhilemotion.com.au.
Browsing this site
This website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies, and it doesn't run analytics. The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.
The site loads its font from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers to download it.
Buying Particle Party
Purchases happen on Gumroad. When you buy, Gumroad collects what it needs to take your payment and deliver your download, such as your email address and payment details. I receive your name, email address and order details so I can support you and send updates about the product. I never see your full card details. Gumroad's own privacy policy explains how they handle your information.
Activating Particle Party
When you activate, the activation page sends your Gumroad licence key to Gumroad to check the purchase is real and not refunded. Your purchase email is then built into your Particle Party key, and the plug-in shows it in After Effects ("Licensed to ..."). Nothing else is collected.
The plug-in itself doesn't send anything from your computer. The licence check works offline, and your key is stored only on your computer.
The waitlist and free downloads
The waitlist and the free downloads also go through Gumroad. When you join, I receive your email address so I can tell you when Particle Party opens, send tutorials and send launch news. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask me to remove you at any time.
Emailing me
If you email me, I'll use your message and address to reply, and keep them as long as needed to help you.
What I don't do
- I don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
- I only email you if you've joined the waitlist, downloaded a freebie or bought Particle Party, and every email has a way to unsubscribe.
Where your information is kept
Gumroad (based in the United States) and Cloudflare (which runs servers around the world) store information outside Australia. I only use them for the purposes on this page.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you by emailing me. If you're not happy with how I've handled your information, please tell me first so I can fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
