What is Particle Party?

Particle Party is a particle effect plug-in for Adobe After Effects by Meanwhile Motion, with 50+ ready-made presets. During the beta you pay US$49 once, with no subscription, and every update through version 2 is free.

Does it work on Mac?

Not yet. Particle Party is Windows only for now. A Mac version is planned as the first update after launch (no date yet), and beta buyers get it free when it ships.

Which After Effects versions?

After Effects 2024 and newer.

Is it a subscription?

Nope. You pay once (US$49 during the beta) and it's yours to keep.

Do I get updates?

Yes. Beta buyers get every update through version 2 free, including the Mac version when it ships. If there's ever a version 3, you'll get it at a discount.

Do I need a fancy graphics card?

No. Particle Party skips the GPU on purpose, so it plays back smoothly on everyday machines.

It says beta. What does that mean?

It works and it's fun right now, and I'm still adding to it. The US$49 beta price funds the Mac version. When the beta ends the price goes up to US$89, and everyone on the list gets two weeks' notice.
